FAQs

Do I have to know how to fight?
Nope! We do have opportunities to compete in different combat sports for those who are interested, but we also have opportunities to just learn, get in shape, and build an awesome community.

You don’t need any martial arts experience to join.

What classes do you offer?
We offer different classes focused on grappling, striking, fitness, and kids training.

All of our classes are built around our signature Mayhem Fighting System, which combines the best of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, boxing, judo, Sambo, and others.

What are the age requirements?
Mayhem Kids
begins at age 6. Our adult classes all begin around 12, depending on the specific needs.

You can train until you’re 117 if you’d like. Just make sure you take care of yourself. :)

How safe is it?
Any form of martial arts or fitness training does come with some inherent risks.

We make every effort to minimize these risks, but things can happen. We encourage members not to do anything that unnecessarily increases their chance of injury.

What gear do I need to train?
Depending on which classes you plan to attend, the gear may vary. Generally, however, we recommend boxing gloves, MMA gloves, and a mouth guard (plus an athletic cup for males).

We do have some loaner gear for you to use at first, but you’ll eventually want your own. (Trust us on that.)

How are classes structured?
Classes are mostly made up of three parts:

  1. Warmup/Workout - Mostly bodyweight or minimal equipment (provided).
  2. Instruction - Technical teaching from our coaches.
  3. Open Mat - Free time to practice things you’re learning.

How much does a membership cost?
We have various membership levels ranging from a $10 Drop-In rate to $130/month for unlimited classes.

We also have a Family Membership discount if there are 3+ members of your household all looking to train together.
